Pattaya Bus requests access to your device's GPS location solely to show your current position on the map. This helps you find the nearest bus stop or terminal.
You can use the app without granting location permission — the map will simply start centred on Pattaya.
📊 Data We Collect
Pattaya Bus does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- No account registration required
- No name, email, or phone number collected
- No usage tracking or analytics
- No cookies or device fingerprinting
- No data is stored on any server
All timetable and route data is bundled with the app and loaded locally on your device.
🌐 External Services
The app uses the following external services for map tiles and weather data:
- CartoDB — map tiles (read-only, no personal data sent)
- RainViewer — rain radar overlay (read-only, no personal data sent)
- Open-Meteo — weather data for Pattaya (read-only, no personal data sent)
These services receive only standard HTTP requests (your IP address may be visible to them as with any web request). No personal information is passed.
The app also contains affiliate links to 12Go Asia and Agoda. Tapping these links opens their websites in your browser, subject to their own privacy policies.
🔒 Security
Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing to secure or protect. All route and timetable information is static data included in the app package.
👶 Children's Privacy
Pattaya Bus does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app collects no personal data from any user regardless of age.
